EvjuiceNgo EV Rally September 2025

Testing EVs to their limits, the GREENFLEET Explorer Rally set out to prove just how far electric mobility can go.

Driving the future – It’s time to take on the GREENFLEET Explorer EV rally 2025

What does it take to prove that electric vehicles can go the distance? The GREENFLEET Explorer EV Rally Sept 25 was designed to answer exactly that question. Organised to test the strength of EV technology, the reliability of charging infrastructure, and the spirit of those behind the wheel, the rally challenges teams from across the UK and Europe to push electric mobility to its limits.

This year, the PB Design and EVjuiceNgo team, represented by Scott Edsall and Karl Kennedy, joined the adventure. For PB Design, it was an opportunity to connect expertise in grid resilience and infrastructure with EVjuiceNgo’s mission to deliver uptime-first EV charging solutions. Together, they took to the road to demonstrate not only the capability of EVs, but also the shared commitment to building a future powered by innovation and sustainability.

Hitting the Road

Scott and Karl’s goal was clear, to prove that with the right planning, teamwork, and infrastructure, electric mobility is not only viable but exciting. Starting out at the official launch line, spirits were high as they mapped their strategy and plugged in one final charge before the journey began.

“We wanted to experience first-hand what EV drivers face over long distances, the highs, the challenges, and the opportunities.” said Scott.

The Rally – Day by Day

Day 1: Anticipation and Early Wins
The first day was filled with enthusiasm and a chance to settle into the rhythm of the rally. With charging stops carefully planned, the team quickly found themselves enjoying the ride and the camaraderie with other participants.

Day 2-3: Testing Infrastructure
The middle of the rally brought both highlights and learning curves. Charging stops became social hubs, with teams swapping stories, tips, and a few laughs as they waited for batteries to top up. The pair experienced first-hand the progress the UK and European networks have made in recent years.

Day 4: Customer Experiences Niggles on the Road
As with any rally, not everything goes according to plan. In a couple of instances, the Payment reader or the charger was offline but with no indication to the EV driver, resulting in a plug and unplug and move your vehicle situation.  More of an annoyance then a real issue. Small hurdles like this matter and to drive us all to focus on a seamless customer experience.

Final Day: Crossing the Finish Line
After thousands of kilometres across varied terrain, Scott and Karl reached the finish line with smiles intact. Tired but elated, they had proven the EV Rally’s mission: EVs can handle the long road, and the infrastructure is evolving rapidly to support the transition.

Looking Back – Lessons Learned

The rally was more than a test of vehicles and infrastructure, it was a test of mindset. Scott and Karl’s journey showed that:

  • EVs are road-ready.
With little planning, they deliver comfort and reliability over long distances.
  • Infrastructure is already there and improving.
While small challenges remain, charging networks are expanding and maturing fast.
  • Teamwork makes the difference.
From planning routes to problem-solving on the fly, collaboration kept spirits high.

“We came away proud, not just of completing the rally, but of seeing how far EV mobility has already come. The future is electric, and it’s happening now.” said Karl.

Why It Matters for PB Design & EVjuiceNgo

For PB Design and EVjuiceNgo, the rally wasn’t just a road trip. It was a real-world opportunity to connect with the realities of electrification and charging infrastructure, the very challenges our partnership is built to address.

PB Design brings decades of expertise in grid-grade resilience, while EVjuiceNgo delivers a system-first approach to EV charging uptime. Together, they’re helping operators, fleet owners, and energy providers keep the wheels of electrification turning.

The EV Rally showed them, and countless others, that with continued innovation and collaboration, the energy transition is not just a vision, but a journey already in motion.

PB Design and EVjuiceNgo are proud to be part of that journey.
